With the latest installation of the Consumer Fair (CF26) at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas, customers can sign up for Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam’s (BIBD) latest ‘Eco-Friendly’ credit cards and enjoy a free three-year waiver on the annual fee and an eco gift at the fair.

The eco-friendly cards are crafted using the same technology and functionality as conventional plastic cards but made from renewable materials and require less energy to create and produce no toxins when destroyed during incineration.

Members of the public are welcome to visit its pavilion at the fair as attractive promotions and rewards await at the event with BIBD representatives available to assist to provide more information on the bank’s Aspirasi 5. A savings and rewards programme that creates an impact and contributes towards the greater good through aspirations is also showcased throughout the fair.

The programme is part of the bank’s aspiration as a Partner in Progress towards building a strong financial foundation and greater financial literacy among members of the public through encouraging and incentivising the practice of saving, which is in line with the bank’s commitment towards sustainability and alignment with the Maqasid Syariah.

Customers who are yet to activate their QuickPay and BIBD Virtual Card may also do so at the booth during the Consumer Fair and get BND5 for free upon activation of the card and visitors to the fair will also be able to enjoy BIBD’s digital payment solutions via the BIBD NEXGEN Wallet and support their local vendors at the same time with a variety of cashless payment methods being made available at the fair.

Meanwhile, Brunei’s first securities company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of BIBD, BIBD Securities, is also offering a 0.5 per cent special fee on any mutual fund signed up for at the event and customers can also apply for new personal financing and enjoy a 100 per cent fee waiver.

The launch of CF26 yesterday was officiated by Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud and Advisor of D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman bin Pengiran Haji Damit.

Also present at the event were BIBD Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri and other members of the senior management team of BIBD.
