The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) organised a religious lecture to commemorate Maulidur Rasul at the ministry’s building at Commonwealth Drive yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was the guest of honour.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was also present.
Senior officials from MoFE and its departments, as well as His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight (HMSF) and Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) personnel also attended.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech by Acting Royal Customs and Excise Controller Muhammad Azizil Hakim bin Haji Brahim. Religious Development Officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre Isham bin Ismail delivered the religious lecture ‘Affection towards Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’. The event concluded with the Dikir Maulud by the Dikir group of the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED).

The Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Student Affairs Office held a Maulidur Rasul celebration at the university’s auditorium.
Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was the guest of honour.
Assistant rector, core officers, academics, officers and staff, as well as students were also present.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Yaasiin led by Core Officer of UNISSA Pengiran Mohammad Daud bin Pengiran Matassan.
The ceremony also featured a forum entitled ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Berdoa dan Bertawakkal Menghadapi Ujian: Meraih Syafa’at Rasulullah SAW’ delivered by two panel members – Year 2 student (PhD in Usuluddin) Muhammad Adib bin Haji Md Idris and Year 2 student (Master in Usuluddin) Rifqi Hidayatil, both from Faculty of Usuluddin. Muhammad Darussalam bin Haji Ahmad Hasyim a Year 1 student (PhD in Arabic Language and Translation) acted as moderator.

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) held a Maulidur Rasul celebration at the ministry’s Amar Pahlawan Hall, Jalan Menteri Besar.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha attended.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil led by from Sufri Bolkiah Mosque Imam Haji Md Zahid bin Haji Mohd Zain.
It was followed with a religious talk ‘Mencintai Rasulullah untuk Syafa’at’ by Director of International and Public Relations of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam. The ceremony also saw a Dikir Marhaban by the Dikir group under the ministry.
Universiti Teknologi Brunei
Universiti Teknologi Brunei through its Religious Unit of Student Affairs Office and Religious and Spiritual ExCo held a religious talk in commemoration of Maulidur Rasul.
Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Services) Dr Haji Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar was the guest of honour.
UTB principal officers, staff and students also attended.
Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan Faculty of Social Science Education Lecturer Dr Nazirul Mubin bin Ahad delivered a talk ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Berdoa dan Bertawakkal Menghadapi Ujian: Meraih Syafaat Rasulullah SAW’.
