Environmentally aware logo wins top spot

Institute of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) Brunei Young Engineers held a prize presentation ceremony for the Conference for ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO) 39 Logo Design Competition in conjunction with an appreciation dinner for committee members.

Abdull Rahman bin Ahmad won the logo competition with his design inspired by bunga simpur, the national flower of Brunei Darussalam. The logo symbolises a green environment that needs to be preserved to fight climate change. The PUJA Brunei President presented a certificate to the winner who will also receive a cash prize.

PUJA Brunei President Ir Haji Mohammad Zin bin Haji Salleh and Engineer Division committee members attended.

Earlier, Young Engineers Chairman Matius anak Belayan in his opening remarks, said Young Engineers aims to empower young engineers to be leaders and voices of the profession.

The Engineer Division will continue to engage with young engineers to understand the needs and acknowledge the challenges.

He also encouraged engineering students and young engineers in the country to join the institution.

The event continued with the announcement of the winner for the CAFEO 39 Logo Design Competition.
