Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at the Ministry of Home Affairs Salminan bin Haji Burut launched a showcase of business projects led by Tutong youth at Tamu Tutong recently.
The categories included food and beverages, wellness, handicraft and carpentry, eco-tourism and agriculture.
The event was part of the Tutong District Village Consultative Council’s K3K (leadership, community and entrepreneurship) programme intended for young entrepreneurs to implement economic projects to help enhance the quality of life of the Tutong community.
The programme hoped to provide guidance and financial support through a special grant in implementing projects that can provide employment opportunities, while showing resilience towards achieving Brunei Vision 2035.
The programme is the result of cooperation between the Tutong District Office and Tutong district mukim and village consultative councils, and is a follow-up to the Youth Convention of the Tutong District Village Consultative Council, held on February 26, 2020.
Acting Tutong District Officer Ajmin bin Haji Meludin, Legislative Council members and community leaders from Tutong District were also present.
