Winners and participants of the competition

The LiveWIRE Brunei Business Awards recognises outstanding young entrepreneurs in the Sultanate who possess high-quality business plans and run successful businesses. A BND30,000 prize was awarded this year.

The ‘Business Award Focus’ has identified five main areas in the competition: agrotechnology, energy transition, waste management, digitalisation, and smart manufacturing. These areas aim to provide the nation with the strategic drive towards digitalisation and Industrial Revolution 4.0.

The project began in May, with participants attending a four-day LiveWIRE Bootcamp in July and receiving business mentoring along the way.

Meanwhile, the virtual ceremony also saw the launch of the digital platform iCASHFLOW.bn and the Alumni Profiles E-Book.

iCASHFLOW.bn is a digital platform for cash flow management made for entrepreneurs, which offers a dashboard that can efficiently provide better visualisation and organisation for cashflow projection, planning and reporting. Its features include scanning and storing invoices and receipts, which then can be exported for reporting, invoice tracking and pocket-sized functionality on cashflow reporting and summary. The free app is available on both Google Play and Apple App Store.

In commemorating Shell LiveWIRE Brunei 20th anniversary, the Alumni Profiles E-Book was also launched. Previously known as ‘The Profiles’, it existed as physical copies and were distributed as alumni merchandise.

Embracing digitalisation, the publication has been converted into an e-book featuring a compilation of LiveWIRE Brunei programmes and events, milestones, and profiles of selected alumni member over the course of the company’s operation for the past 20 years. It is available on livewirebrunei.com/ebook/.

Shell LiveWIRE Brunei is a social investment flagship of BSP with the vision to strengthen local economies through promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and employment. Since its inception in 2001, over 18,000 entrepreneurs have been groomed through various programmes and workshops.

The organisation now boasts more than 6,000 alumni members who are engaged in several sectors such as event management, food and beverages, automotive detailing, education and professional development training, physiological health services, print advertising, logistics and forwarding services, fashion, supplies trading and human resource management.
