Enlivening holy month of Ramadhan with Tedarus Al-Quran

The Ministry of Health (MoH) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony while handing over donations to orphans in conjunction of the month of Ramadhan at the Surau As-Salam of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, Tutong District yesterday.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar was the guest of honour.

Eight orphans – children of the hospital staff – received donations.

Also in attendance were Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Acting Director General of Medical and Health Services at the MoH Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail as well as directors and senior officials from the MoH.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang yesterday.

Spouse of Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Jamaiah binti Haji Abdul Manaf at the Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque

The ceremony was officiated by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Daud.

Also present were Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, officers and staff at the PMO.

Members of the State Mufti’s Office and State Judiciary Department donated various home electronics and office equipment as Waqaf items to the mosque.

Yesterday, the female officers and staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held a similar ceremony at the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Kampong Sengkurong.

Spouse of Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Jamaiah binti Haji Abdul Manaf was the guest of honour.

Religious ceremonies during Ramadhan are held regularly to enliven the month, strengthen bonds in the community as well as earn rewards and blessings from Allah the Almighty.
