FOLLOWING last year’s opening of Shine Cycle Studio, the brand has spread its wings with the opening of another health and fitness boutique dubbed Shine X, located just next door to Shine Cycle Studio in Sumbangsih Bahagia.

Shine Cycle Studio is owned by Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar.

The opening was attended by Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar.

Indoor Cycle Design, which was appointed as consultant for the Shine Cycle set up, was also appointed as consultant for Shine X.

According to Indoor Cycle Design owner Barbara Chancey, Shine X is a Bootcamp – with a little more fitness.

Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar wanted something that was the opposite to cycling in the light, bringing in a darker space with weights and running, one that’s a little more aggressive for athletes.

“We have the cycling for cardio that is uplifting and happy, and then we have the dark. When we opened Shine Cycle it was because everyone believes that there is this light inside of you and you shine, but with Shine X this is very dark, it is intimate and small because mentally, if you don’t have the darkness, you can’t appreciate the light… so they are the balance of one another,” Barbara said.

For the Bootcamp workout, there is the treadmill and fit bench (equipped with weights and kettlebells), running for cardio and weights for strength building.
