Over 90 Year 4 students from the International School Brunei (ISB), accompanied by their teachers, from the Seria and Bandar campuses, visited the Department of Councils of State as part of their educational programme on Thursday.
The visit began with a briefing on the department’s functions and vision, followed by the screening of its corporate video. Students also toured the Legislative Council (LegCo) Chamber, where they gained insights into the legislative process.
One of the highlights of the visit was a simulated education debate held in the Mini Chamber, providing students with a hands-on experience of parliamentary proceedings. The visit concluded with an exhibition tour showcasing the department’s history and activities.
The delegation was received by Clerk to the Royal Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council Dr Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah.
The briefing was delivered by Dayangku Aqilah Nursyahidah binti Pengiran Roslan, offering the students an engaging introduction to the legislative system in Brunei.
