THE French-Brunei Business Association (FBBA) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday elected Vincent Dutel as the new President, to replace outgoing President Pierre Imhof.
During the AGM at Radisson Hotel, the association also elected new executive committee members – Ti Eng Hui as the new Vice President; Daniel Ng as Treasurer and Voon Tan as the Secretary-General.
Vincent Dutel is the General Manager of Total E&P Borneo BV.
With the support of FBBA members and executive committee, he vowed to continue developing the association as an active and motivated business association, gathering members and organising events as a tradition (with a good balance of business and social events) to address subjects of common interest for its members, as well as in the interest of the Bruneian and French economies and bilateral ties.
“It is a very friendly association composed of a lot of motivated members. I hope to continue the legacy coming from Imhof and sustain the association with support from the executive committee, and will remain committed for the business interests between Brunei and France,” Dutel added.
Imhof, who is also retiring from his post as Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Group, has been at the helm of the FBBA for 16 years. He will remain as an executive committee member following his retirement as president.
Imhof noted that under his leadership, many milestones had been achieved with the support of members and partners of the association. This made them very active and well recognised in Brunei as a bilateral chamber of commerce association.
“I think that we have been able to maintain this good image, developing it over the years… thanks to the growing number and active participation of members in social and business activities, which have attracted interest and kept the association visible and sustain its image of a dynamic and active association,” he added.
