Duo held over break-in, stolen cable

TWO local unemployed men have been detained by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) for alleged involvement in a break-in and theft of cable at the Bukit Beruang housing area in Tutong District.

From investigations carried out by the Tutong Police Station, the RBPF was able to capture the two suspects at their respective homes.

The suspects are Amirizal bin Mohammad, 33, and Haji Endi Endrawardi bin Haji Md Idris, 42. Investigation revealed that both suspects are believed to be involved in numerous cases of stolen cable frequently reported in the vicinity. The suspects and the evidence were brought to the Tutong Police Station.

The pair are facing three charges under Section 380 (theft in building), 427 (damage property) and 411 (dishonestly of accepting stolen goods) Penal Code Chapter 22.

The RBPF advised the public to come forward to share information in together preventing, combatting and reducing the crime rate in the country.
