DPMM FC got off to a winning start in their training tour of Bangkok following a 2-1 win over Thai League 1 outfit Air Force Central FC at the Thupatemi Stadium in Rangsit yesterday.
The Brunei-based outfit entered the break a goal down but a brace from debutant Ukrainian striker Volodymyr Pryyomov in the second half helped his new side to a win in newly appointed head coach Rene Weber’s first unofficial match in charge of the club.
DPMM FC new goalkeeper Haimie anak Nyaring, who was previously announced as a possible starter in the upcoming S League season, also made his first start.
The friendly match was also foreign import Brian McLean’s first appearance since leaving the club at the end of the 2016 season.
With the local part of a defensive partnership very much a debate, Abdul Aziz Tamit, who made his return to the team this season, earned a starting berth to play alongside McLean.

The club will continue their training tour against Thai Honda FC at the 72nd Anniversary Stadium tomorrow before concluding their tour against Kasetsart FC at the TOT Stadium, Chaen Watthana on Saturday.
The Gegar-Gegar men will play their first home league match of the 2018 S League season against Home United FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on April 7 before flying off to Singapore to play Albirex Niigata (S) away at the Jurong East Stadium on April 14.
