DPMM FC hopes of continuing a good run in the Singapore Premier League fell short following a loss against Balestier Khalsa FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on Sunday night.

The Gegar Gegar men had played a role of upsetting the odds in the title race following a 1-1 draw to title-chasing Albirex Niigata (S) and a 3-1 win against Lion City Sailors but were beaten by a bogey team this season.

It marked their third loss of the season against Peter De Roo side as Ryoya Taniguchi played the role of villain with another two goals to his collection at the expense of the Brunei side.
