DPMM FC forward Miguel Oliveira highlighted the need to produce an improved showing in their next outing against Geylang International FC at home in the Singapore Premier League (SPL) match this Saturday.
“We are sad because we are at home and we want another result,” the foreign import said during a post-match interview following a 4-2 defeat to Lion City Sailors.
“Playing against this type of team, we cannot keep chase. We must train hard again and improve against Geylang,” he added.
“We are sad but tomorrow is another day and we will get back to work.”
Meanwhile, Lion City Sailors’ forward Lennart Thy said, “We have many games in the next two months so we are happy with the second win this year.”
He continued, “The first part of the first half and the beginning of the second half we weren’t that good but we’re happy that we got to take control of the game back.
“I think in the end we deserved the game. We’re back on top and that is where we want to be,” he concluded. “We need to take it a game at a time as we have many games coming up in different competitions.”
