DPMM FC begin pre-season training ahead of Singapore League return

DPMM FC began their first day of pre-season training this year ahead of the Singapore Premier League 2023 season at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium in Jerudong yesterday.

The club’s head coach Adrian Pennock and his assistant Moksen Mohammad took charge of the training session which was also joined by 11 foreign trialists who will be looking to secure one of the allocated berths.

Each club will only be allowed to field three international players and one Asian-based player, while one under-21 player must also be in the starting line-up. The foreign players on trial were from different nationalities such as Brazil, Liberia, Uzbekistan, Italy, Colombia, Ukraine, Spain, Kyrgyzstan, Australia and Britain.

Meanwhile, there will also be a separate selection for young local players to be promoted into the main team which will be held at 2pm at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium on January 22. To be eligible, each player must be born in 2002, 2003 or 2004, and must hold a yellow IC. Registration will open starting 12.30pm.

The Brunei-based outfit previously competed in the Singapore during the 2019 league season, where they won the league for a second time.
