The government is still enforcing social distancing measures and health order at public places.

Even when the country is in de-escalation, and with the increase of mass gathering capacity to 100, the public is reminded to adhere to social distancing measures and guidelines for visiting crowded areas, said Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong.

“Social and physical distancing measures are still in place. I hope the public can continue to comply and respect the orders that are issued from time to time. This is for our own benefit in curbing the outbreak of COVID-19,” he added.

He said public cooperation is very encouraging and should be continued.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said the public still needs to be vigilant as the risk of COVID-19 infections still exists.

“When visiting crowded areas such as perayaan venues, we can still practise social distancing, wear face masks and scan the BruHealth QR code to help the government conduct contact tracing faster,” the minister said.
