Donations pour in for MoH

The Ministry of Health (MoH) received donations in the form of several cheques totalling BND30,150 for the COVID-19 Relief Fund 2021.

The contributions were BND20,000 from Le Apple Bakery, BND10,000 from Sing Hiap Hin Keng Hwa Auto Company, and BND150 from Lim Lee Hong.

Meanwhile, the MoH also received contributions on September 15 and 16 from public and private sectors, associations and individuals as part of their corporate social responsibilities to assist the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, especially the MoH, in curbing the spread of COVID-19.

The donations included garbage bags, surgical gloves, blue aprons, floor disinfectants, hand sanitisers, face shields and A4 papers from Odyssey Group; water bottles from Kampong Mata-Mata Religious Hall; and water bottles, Beras Wangi, instant noodles cream crackers, milo, potatoes, biscuits, bottled water and hand sanitisers from Gabungan Amal Perkicau Negara Brunei Darussalam (NBD).

The MoH also received blankets and fingertip pulse oximeter from Ten Ten Store; canned drinks from Jateriya; fridge, fog machine and fog machine solution from Petir Management Services; bottled water from the Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB); Quran Wakaf Ibtida and Tafsir Al-Quran from Nadi Quranic Learning Centre; telekung and prayer mats from the National Service Programme (PKBN); and blankets, pillow cases and bedsheets from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP); bottled water, canned drinks, biscuits and coffee from the Fire and Rescue ADFRT Squadron 4 officials and personnel.

Several individuals also contributed. This included mouthwash from Captain Zulfakhri bin Ahmad; instant noodles, pampers, boxed drinks, biscuits, three-in-one drinks, and crackers from Abdul Rahman; and scrubs from Winah Louis.
