Positive vibes and patriotic spirit filled the air as a convoy of over 70 Jeep Wranglers and SRT participated in the 37th National Day Convoy organised by Jeep Owners Group Brunei (JOGB) and GHK Motors to the Green Jewel of Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

The convoy, dubbed ‘Jeep Patriotic Drive’ departed from Jeep & Alfa Romeo Service Centre in the Beribi Industrial Area and headed to Temburong District by crossing the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge.

Jeep Owners Group Brunei President Khadijah and SRT Begawan Brunei President Sheikh Azmi led the convoy.

General Manager of Jeep Alvin Hong and Jeep Marketing Executive Jason Chai participated.

Alvin Hong said, “We are overjoyed and grateful for JOGB and SRT participation and support. Some even came all the way from Kuala Belait to join the patriotic convoy ride in conjunction with the 37th National Day while supporting the corporate social responsibility programme to help the needy.”

He said the activity is all about creating the synergies to support the community and spreading positive messages. It also served to inspire more jeep owners to join the group and support charity.

“Since its establishment almost a decade ago in 2011, JOGB members have actively participated in several activities to demonstrate the fun and adventurous lifestyle with Jeep. GHK Motors will always continue to support these programmes,” he added.

He also lauded the group’s charitable effort in the inspiring community work within the rural area in Brunei under the leadership of its active members, Khadijah, Kenny, Calvin and Halim.

Participants also distributed daily necessities to 80 underprivileged and converts’ families in the district.

The donations took place at the Temburong Civic Centre in collaboration with the Temburong Islamic Da’wah Centre Unit.
