Some 36 individuals from 23 households in Mukim Serasa received donations yesterday as part of the ‘Sentuhan Kasih’ charity event organised by the Kampong Kapok Consultative Council.
The recipients comprised senior citizens and the less fortunate in Kampong Kapok, Kampong Serasa, Kampong Perpindahan Serasa, Kampong Masjid Lama and RPN Kg Meragang registered under the Brunei Islamic Religious Council and the Community Development Department.
Special Duties Officer II and Head of the Mukim and Village Institution in the Brunei-Muara District Rosdin bin Haji Abdul Aziz was present, joined by Legislative Council member and Village Head of Kampong Masjid Lama, Pekan Muara, Sabun and Pelumpong Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman.
‘Sentuhan Kasih’ aimed to ease the burden of underprivileged individuals and families in enlivening the month of Ramadhan.
The donations comprised basic food items and cash sponsored by Poomaan Sdn Bhd, Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn Bhd, Sifana Sdn Bhd, PCB, Muara Chinese Temple and private donors.
