James Kon

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) distributed 500 meals to underprivileged families, constructions workers, orphans and those in need in the Brunei-Muara District yesterday.

Additionally, eight underprivileged families received hampers of basic necessities and financial assistance.

The Ramadhan Food Donation Drive was organised in conjunction with AITI’s 20th anniversary and part of its social responsibility in contributing to the community.

AITI employees contributed to the event at the Youth Centre, Bandar Seri Begawan, by preparing, cooking, packing and distributing iftar meals, as well as donating basic household necessities and financial aid.

AITI Chief Executive Ir Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar said the event aimed to commemorate Ramadhan, when good deeds reap great rewards, help build rapport among AITI employees and encourage teamwork towards contributing to a good cause.

The engagement among employees also contributes to AITI’s mission of becoming a high performing organisation with a shared sense of accountability to achieve a common goal and encourage more acts to support those in need.
