More than 150 people participated in a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to commemorate International Women’s Day 2024 at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque yesterday.
The event, organised by the Community Development Department, also featured a talk on Bangkitlah Wanita, Bahagialah Wanita, by assistant lecturer at Religious Teacher University College of Seri Begawan’s (KUPU SB) Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre Pengiran Norizzati binti Pengiran Haji Kasharan.
The talk touched on the capability of women to expand their potential with knowledge and training, which was encouraged even during the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Spouse of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Hajah Binanun binti Haji Bungsu was the guest of honour. – James Kon
