The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through Community Development Department yesterday handed over financial assistance to a family whose home at RPN Lambak Kanan was damaged during a house fire on June 19.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Awang Haji Nazmi bin Mohamad presented the financial assistance to the head of the family Haji Julaihi bin Haji Tuah.
The ministry said the fire damaged the main kitchen and two bedrooms, No one was injured in the incident. The ministry hopes the financial assistance can ease the fire victims’ burdens.
The donation also demonstrated the care and attention of the government for victims of disaster, said the ministry.
