Disaster victims received financial aid through a fund allocated to the Community Development Department (JAPEM) yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin yesterday handed over the financial assistance to victims of disasters.
Kampong Parit in Temburong District experienced floods due to heavy rains on March 20, including residences of Wong Liang Sey, Semuil anak Abet and Pan Nyek Fah.
Meanwhile, on April 2, a house belonging to Haji Rosli bin Haji Bakar in STKRJ Katok ‘B’ was destroyed by fire.
In October 2021, a house owned by Hajah Rosnah binti Haji Sulaiman in Kampong Setia ‘A’ in Kampong Ayer experienced an inclined and was no longer safe to live in.
The financial assistance is aimed at covering expenditure for daily necessities.
