MINISTER of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the guest of honour, reminded participants of the 19th Life Skills Training programme (LESTARI) Camp to always maintain their sense of belonging and to direct their energies towards nation-building.

He made these comments at the certificate presentation ceremony for 33 participants of the camp at the Games Village in Berakas yesterday.

The Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council hosted the event as the organiser of the LESTARI Life Skills Training.

Prior to the presentation ceremony, LESTARI Camp Commandant Siti Najihah Kamilah binti Latif delivered a speech followed with speeches by two of the LESTARI participants.

The training programme was held at the Games Village on March 21-24, featuring a combination of indoor and outdoor activities that challenged the participants in terms of emotional, physical and spiritual capabilities. The camp was conducted for youth aged between 16 and 26, with the main objectives of equipping the participants with life skills in an interactive and youth-oriented environment.

Their facilitators comprised youth members from the Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council Life Skills Graduates (BLISS) with backgrounds in community, religious and volunteer work.
