The Diplomatic Corps recently attended a farewell dinner for Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Ajaneesh Kumar at The Rizqun International Hotel.
The dinner was hosted by Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Dr Sujatmiko, who is the Acting Dean of Diplomatic Corps, and was attended by 30 heads of missions as well as senior diplomats.
The Indonesian Ambassador congratulated the departing envoy for his successful tenure on behalf of the Diplomatic Corps.
He said the outgoing high commissioner is a career diplomat and worked hard over three years to enhance bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and India in a number of sectors, including economic, social, cultural and sports.
Dr Sujatmiko thanked the high commissioner for his excellent friendship while in Brunei and expressed well-wishes in his new assignment in Tallinn, Estonia.
Meanwhile, Kumar expressed his appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, members of the royal family, the government and the Diplomatic Corps for their cooperation and support during his tenure in the country.
