Diabetes awareness in the spotlight

Members of the Lions Club of Belait organised a Diabetes Awareness Project at the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Kampong Pandan Library in the Belait District yesterday to raise awareness on the importance of health.

The project, held in conjunction with the Diabetes Awareness Month observed annually in November, aimed to spotlight diabetes, with this year’s focus on taking action to prevent diabetes-related health problems.

Led by organising chairman Terry Thoo, the event featured health check-ups, including BMI, blood pressure and glucose level measurements.

The check-ups were supplemented with brief medical consultations by Lions Club members and retired nurses. – Daniel Lim
