KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – The former Deputy Home Minister’s aide who was caught upskirting a woman at an optical shop using a hand phone was detained at Solaris Dutamas, Sri Hartamas.
Sentul District Police chief ACP R Munusamy said the 47-year-old man was arrested at 1pm yesterday to facilitate investigations under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour and Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person.
“The suspect is being detained for investigation first,” he said when contacted.
Yesterday, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Azis Jamman was reported to have sacked an aide for his insulting behaviour at an optical shop.
Azis was reported to have said that he decided to fire the officer with immediate effect because his actions had damaged his image and credibility as deputy home minister.
