The Pengiran Hajah Anak Puteri Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Health Centre dental clinic in Rimba has been closed and relocated temporarily to the National Dental Centre in Berakas, announced the Ministry of Health (MoH) through its Dental Services Department.
The closure aims to allow health personnel to assist at swab test centres, according to a MoH press release.
The ministry said only emergency dental treatments are available, with screening done at dental clinics still operating.
The ministry also said antigen rapid testing (ART) for COVID-19 will be carried out on patients visiting dental clinics.
Patients seeking dental advice and consultations can be reached via phone or WhatsApp.
For consultancy via phone, patients can contact 8117981 while a consultation via WhatsApp can be reached at 8117635. Operating hours for the service will be from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, 8am to 11.30 am and 1.45pm to 3.30pm.
The public is advised to utilise the consultation services as an alternative to dental advice to prevent unnecessary visit to limit interaction with health workers.
