Chair of Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim underscored the significance of community-driven initiatives in fostering awareness on dementia in the Sultanate.
He said this at the Community Food Sale on Sunday at Mabohai Shopping Complex.
The event, organised by BBBF, aimed to support and raise awareness for Demensia Brunei (dB).
Pengiran Aki Ismasufian thanked the support and participation of vendors, guests, and BBBF members as well as an occupational therapist at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Bazilah Ali for her talk on the early signs and prevention of dementia.
He also expressed gratitude to the event sponsors, Mabohai Shopping Complex and The Culinary School by Laksamana College of Business (LCB), highlighting their role in the event’s success, ensuring substantial funds were raised for Demensia Brunei.
The event drew a significant turnout of BBBF members, vendors, guests and representatives from the Board of Demensia Brunei and raised BND3,118 with proceeds chanelled to Demensia Brunei. – Lyna Mohamad
