Delicacies from Iran to tickle your taste buds

The Anjung Saujana Restaurant located at the Brunei International Airport is promoting the True Taste of Iran from February 4 to 9.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin in his capacity as the Chairman of the Royal Brunei Catering (RBC) Board of Directors launched the True Taste of Iran.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam Homeira Rigi Zirouki was also present.

RBC’s General Manager Haji Jeff Hadiman bin Dato Paduka Haji Danial said this is the first time that the True Taste of Iran promotion is being held at Anjung Saujana showcasing its own uniqueness.

“It is hoped that this Iranian traditional culinary promotion will enhance bilateral ties between both countries,” he said.

Diners will get an opportunity to taste authentic Iranian cuisine during the week long event.

Among the dishes available are the Zeresh Polo (barberry saffron rice), Joojeh Kebab (Persian safron chicken kebab), Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi (Persian herb, bean and lamb stew), Tah Chin Morgh (baked Persian saffron rice with chicken and yoghurt), Za’afar Man’ouche (Flatbreads), Persian Halwa, Shole Zard (rice pudding) and other varieties of Persian cuisine.
