Delegation learns history of Kota Kinabalu mosques

A NEARLY 20-member delegation comprising members of the RPN Kampong Mata-Mata Gadong Mosque Takmir Committee members visited several mosques in Kota Kinabalu in the neighbouring Malaysian state of Sabah.

The three-day visit that began on September 7 was led by the mosque’s Bilal Abdul Azim bin Haji Ismail.

During the visit to Kota Kinabalu, the delegation, which included members of the Iqra, Al-Quran advance class for adults and the mosque’s youth members, visited the Sabah State Mosque and Kota Kinabalu Mosque where they were greeted by the mosques’ officials and briefed on the mosques’ history. They also toured the mosques.

The delegation also visited and prayed at the Imam Haji Hashim Mosque in Sipitang, Sabah before their arrival in Kota Kinabalu.
