‘Danunu’ team wins website design contest

Danunu team from Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre won first place at the Digital Website Design Competition 2019 for Faficko Enterprise.

JDY team from Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College came in second for their design on Laily’s Bridal Company and AVR team from Tutong Sixth Form Centre grabbed third place with their design on HD Studio.

The competition was organised by the Co-Curriculum Education Department of the Ministry of Education through the Akli Unit in collaboration with the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus and sponsored by BattlePro Marketing and Event Management Services.

The prize presentation took place at the Sports School’s hall.

Chief Executive of Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam Pengiran Haji Mohd Zain bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak was the guest of honour.

The Assistant Director of the Co-Curriculum Education Department Mohammad Norilham bin Haji Jais said the competition was the first of its kind held to enhance students’ talent, encourage creativity in designing website as well as to instil cooperation among the students.

The competition was opened for sixth form students only.

Eight teams participated using Wix software (www.wix.com) to build a digital website for a local company, where they should include the history of the company; logo description; vision and mission statements; introduction to structure and administration as well as communication channels such as address and telephone number.
