Cyber Shopfest is back to promote e-commerce

The Cyber Shopfest is back again for the fourth time, organised by, at the first floor Arcade in Little Soho from January 28 to February 7.

The event is aimed at increasing e-commerce awareness by using cashless transactions, attracting businesses to e-commerce marketplace and educating consumers on the benefits of online purchasing.

The public can view all the promotions at the kiosk and make online payments through via BIBD or Baiduri Bank or at the venue through cashless payment using BruPay or QuickPay.

The 12 participating vendors are: Al Hayaah Brunei, Chop Kian Chuang, CSMS Enterprise, Kingston Beverage & Creamery, SiManja Pet Grooming Spa, Aiking Trading Co, Ying Bee Company, Sinar Harapan, Bro’s Kitchen, Aming Gunawan, Brunei Postal Services and Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology. Managing Director Chris Wong in an interview on the response for e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic, said, “In the early days of COVID-19 outbreak last year, 2,000 hand sanitisers were sold within the hour. That showed a high demand for e-commerce. Currently Brunei is one of the safest countries, so life is nearly back to normal.”

She added, “We have been here for four years and will continue to drive the e-commerce awareness.”
