Cub Scouts pass course with flying colours

SEVENTY Cub Scouts were recently awarded certificates following their successful completion of the 7th Sixers Leadership Course, which aimed to embed leadership qualities in the young participants.

The participants, within the seven to 11 year age bracket, received their certificates from the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Associations (PPNBD)Chief Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association Haji Badar bin Haji Ali.

The three-day course held at the National Scout Training and Activities Centre and Scout Multipurpose Hall in Gadong, was jointly organised by the Brunei Darussalam Scout Association through the Cub Scouts Section in collaboration with the Uniformed and Community Service Unit of the Co-Curriculum Education Department under the Ministry of Education.

The 70 Cub Scouts comprised Sixers Leader from Orang Kaya Besar Imas Subok Primary School, Kampong Mata-Mata Primary School, Sungai Kebun Primary School, Tungku Primary School, Pulaie Primary School, Anggerek Desa Primary School, Tanjong Kindana Primary School, Sungai Tali Primary School, Sinaran Mas School, DES School, Fairview School and Tunas Jaya PGGMB School Belait.

According to Scout Commissioner for Cub Scouts Section Hajah Noraini binti Haji Saidi stated the course programme included several leadership and skills training.
