CSGO Edition winners awarded

TEAM Goodfellas Gaming was crowned as the champion in the sixth gaming tournament ‘Counter Strike: Go (CSGO) Edition’ at the Atrium of Times Square Shopping Centre last Sunday. The team members – Thong Tao Jian, Kamil Faizzin bin Abdul Hadi, Mohammad Amirul Amin, Mohammad Nurfazlee Shafie bin Abdullah and Simon Tsen Chee Long – brought home cash prizes, HyperX Cloud Alpha and medals.

The second place winner Team Hit & Run brought home cash prizes, HyperX cloud and stinger and medals while third place winner Team RFG Jumanji brought home cash prizes, HyperX earbuds and medals.

Sixteen teams joined the tournament comprising five team members and a substitute per team. Netcom Computer House and Brugames Management Services co-organised the tournament.

The tournament based on a round-robin format had all 16 teams battled with each other to win the first round of the tournament on the first and second day, in order to proceed to the semi-final and final rounds the following days.

The winners were announced on the last day of the event with cash prizes, medals and HyperX (sponsored by Netcom).

Throughout the tournament, the atrium was filled with the joys and excitement from the public as they watched gaming tournament live and the teams were filled with hype with the crowd watching them compete.

The Netcom Computer House provided the complete gaming equipment. Meanwhile, Brugames Management Services supported the tournament with technical support, server and marshals.

Ambrosine was the official caster for the tournament. Prizes were presented by representatives from Netcom Computer House and Times Square Soon and Nur Azimah.
