His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, attended a ceremony to celebrate His Royal Highness’ birthday hosted by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at the PMO building.
Also in attendance was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah was greeted on arrival by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah; and Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar.
Also in attendance were Special Advisor to His Majesty and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa bin Pehin Datu Perdana Manteri Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Ibrahim; Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa; and Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah joined a group photo session before proceeding to the Pesambah Gallery in the East Wing of the PMO.
The celebration was further enlivened by a cake-cutting ceremony.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah also received a greeting card from the PMO and pesambah from 12 agencies comprising government agencies, higher education institutions and the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah proceeded to the Banquet Hall for a luncheon.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Kesyukuran led by Deputy State Mufti Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusof.
Also present at the event were deputy ministers; special guests; and senior officers from the PMO and its departments.
