His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office attended a religious event to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong yesterday.
Present to greet His Royal Highness were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, and Deputy Commissioner of the RBPF Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jefri bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Hamid.
Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as the Chairperson of National Security Committee and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof were also present.
Legislative Council member, deputy permanent secretaries at the PMO, former police commissioners, directors, senior officers at RBPF as well as former police officers and RBPF personnel also attended.
A mass Maghrib and Sunnat Hajat prayers and recitation of Surah Yaasiin were led by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar. The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran.
