COVID-19 updates – Brunei records 6th consecutive day of no new cases

The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham Hj Jaafar said no new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.

Meanwhile, no new recoveries were recorded today, maintaining the total number of recovered patients at 134. There are currently 6 active cases being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.

  • Two patients remain in critical condition, where only one of them still requires heart / lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance, and one case only requires respiratory assistance. Meanwhile, the rest are in a stable condition.
  • As of today, 108 individuals are undergoing quarantine according to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204) and a total of 2,575 have completed the quarantine period and are in good health.
  • Since the emergence of COVID-19 in early January 2020, a total of 16,350 laboratory tests for COVID-19 have been conducted.

COVID-19 Relief Fund collects over BND 14 Million

The COVID-19 Relief Fund has collected a total of BND14,128,776.79 as of 2.30pm this afternoon, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah announced today, while welcoming more contributions from the public.
