A TOTAL of 78 participants comprising single mothers, housewives and youth from several villagess in the Brunei-Muara District attended a briefing on Prihatin 2 Programme, a cooking and pastry-making course, at the Youth Development Centre (PPB) in Tanah Jambu.
The programme was jointly organised by PPB of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and RPN Panchor Mengkubau Village Consultative Council’s Community and Public Bureau.
The participants were divided into two groups: 46 in the pastry-making course, and 32 in the cooking course. The two-month project will be carried out every Friday and Sunday until April 28.
Facilitators from PPB will assist these participants during the programme and hoped that participants will be able to give their full commitment and cooperation as well as their attendance. The programme aims to enhance knowledge in cooking and pastry making, and at the same time serve as a medium for participants to generate an income.
Assistant Director of PPB Haswandi bin Haji Osman and Head of Community Bureau of the RPN Panchor Mengkubau Village Consultative Council Fatimah binti Haji Jamil were also present.
