Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held a funeral management course providing practical knowledge and exposure to UNISSA alumnus on how to manage the deceased as required by Islam.
The programme at UNISSA’s Surau As-Syafi’I was held through the Office of Alumni Affairs, in collaboration with the Skills and Training Unit, Executive Committee of the UNISSA Alumni Association.
The programme aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and to produce individuals who can serve the community in carrying out this obligatory social duty.
The male funeral management workshop was guided by an UNISSA alumni and certified facilitator Kampong Pulaie Mosque Grade II Imam Haji Nuralif bin Haji Taib, while the course for female participants was handled by ‘penggapai’ from the Muslim Cemetery Unit under the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajah Siti Animi binti Haji Salleh and Norlila binti Mohammad.
UNISSA Alumni Association Session 2021/2023 President Muhammad Dzulhilmi bin Haji Moharefandi presented certificates to the facilitators and participants.
