Eleven participants completed a two-day course to provide exposure on knowledge and preparation of job hunting especially for individuals aged 33-44 at the Civil Service Institute on Tuesday.

Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, Yang Berhormat Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii and Yang Berhormat Iswandy bin Ahmad conducted the briefings.

One the objectives of the workshop was to analyse the marketability of the participants and provide aiding mechanisms in reducing the unemployment rate among the middle-aged group.

The workshop also focussed on upskilling and reskilling the participants by keeping them updated on trends in the current job market while boosting their confidence and readiness for employment.

Through the briefings, it was also hoped that the participants will gain knowledge to invoke innovative and creative ideas, apart from equipping them with financial literacy.

The course was organised by the 31st Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) participants as part of the effort to highlight welfare and community issues, and to uphold whole-of-government approach and whole-of-nation approach in realising Brunei Vision 2035.
