Converts who attended the 36th Advanced Guidance Scheme II for Female Converts and the 13th Basic Guidance Scheme (English) received their certificates at a closing ceremony for the two classes at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) yesterday.
PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh presented the certificates.
The Advanced Guidance Scheme II aims to provide guidance and exposure in improving and refining converts’ Islamic knowledge particularly in subjects of Aqidah, Fiqh Muamalat, Fiqh Zakat, Korban and Aqiqah, Islamic History, Tasawwuf, Muqaddam and Amali.
Meanwhile, the Basic Guidance Scheme (English) instils seriousness in converts by providing theory and practical training, especially how to perform religious obligations in their daily lives such as memorisation, Ibadat Practical, Tauhid, Fiqh, Food in Islam, Islamic Morality and Fardhu Kifayah practical.
Twenty participants attended the Advance Guidance Scheme II while five took part in the Basic Guidance Scheme (English). Participants comprised converts who have completed their Introduction to Islam course, Basic Guidance Scheme and Advanced Guidance Scheme I.
The course, conducted from January 18 to 31, was facilitated by the Muallaf Development Division of PDI.
