    Convert families receive Ramadhan aid

Five convert families in the Brunei Muara district have received essential food supplies to help them fulfil their fasting obligations during the upcoming Ramadhan.

The provisions were gathered as part of the Fathul Barakah 6.0 Project, an initiative by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with the Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI) and the Brunei Darussalam Converts Association.

The donation was distributed at the residences of the respective convert recipients in RPN Kampung Mengkubau by officials from the Islamic Dakwah Centre (PDI), led by its Director, Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh.

Also present were Senior Religious Officer at PDI, Awang Ruslan bin Haji Sulaiman; Head of the Converts Development Section at PDI, Datin Dr Dayang Hajah Rohanita binti Haji Yaakub; and President of the Nurul Islam Association (PNI), Awang Haji Mohd Hazwan bin Abdullah.

The Fathul Barakah 6.0 Project aims to serve as a means of dakwah by supporting the well-being and life development of converts, ensuring a better quality of life and easing their preparations for the upcoming Ramadan. The initiative seeks to help them observe their fasting obligations comfortably and fully.

Furthermore, projects like this help strengthen the bond between converts and PDI members, fostering collaboration in charitable efforts for the welfare of converts, particularly within the country. – Lyna Mohamad
