The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) received two contributions for the Pakistan Flood Humanitarian Fund 2022 yesterday.
The contributions were received from the Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries and its Affiliated Members (KI) donating BND4,275 while Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) donated BND5,000.
The handover was held at the ministry.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad received the contributions.
On behalf of KI, the contribution was handed over by Chairperson Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi, while UBD’s contribution was handed over by its Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Corporate and Administration) Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Yacub. Permanent Secretary (Community) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari was also present.
The Pakistan Flood Humanitarian Fund was carried out from October 15, 2022 to yesterday.
The ministry reminded the public, especially government and private agencies, organisations and non-governmental organisations holding fund-raising to hand over the collections to the Pakistan Flood Humanitarian Fund 2022 Secretariat no later than 1pm on January 19.
