It was a great honour to welcome Your Majesty to Japan for the Ceremony of the Enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor in October 2019. At the Summit Meeting held during the visit, Your Majesty announced the decision by the Government of Brunei Darussalam to lift import restrictions on Japanese food, which encouraged Japanese people enormously. The Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in our country this year. I wish athletes of Brunei the best performance and hope that our relations will be further strengthened in terms of people-to-people exchange.
