Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) yesterday hosted a health campaign in conjunction with World Heart Day and World Mental Health Day.
The event aimed at promoting awareness among its employees on two critical health issues: cardiovascular health and mental well-being, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a healthy and resilient workforce.
The campaign commenced with a prize presentation for the winners of the quarter 2 and quarter 3 of the Step Challenge as part of the 2024 BN on the Move (BNOTM) campaign ‘BNOTM x BMC’.
BMC Executive Officer Yasuhisa Tsukamoto presented the prizes.
The campaign saw a series of talks by medical professionals on taking care of the heart, the health index programme, holistic health and mental health in the workplace.
The event also featured exhibition booths offering free health screenings, educational materials, and advice on healthier lifestyles, encouraging employees to monitor and improve their physical and mental health.
BMC said in a statement that the campaigned aimed to empower “employees and cultivates a supportive environment that promotes physical and mental well-being, allowing the workforce to thrive personally and professionally for a healthier workforce and meeting the goal of achieving a healthy nation in line with Brunei Vision 2035”.
