Company engages with Muara, Serasa stakeholders, warns against entering restricted zones

Total in Brunei organised its annual community and stakeholder engagement for the Muara and Serasa community recently.

The engagement sought to share information and updates on its activities, particularly those concerning the Muara and Serasa community. Total E&P Borneo BV (TEPB) shared about affiliate activities in 2020 as well as upcoming activities. The event was also an opportunity for Total to receive feedback, suggestions and opinions from the community on TEPB’s activities.

TEPB Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Rasimoon Adinin gave the presentation.

Among the topics highlighted was a safety reminder for the community, particularly fishermen to avoid entering restricted zones. The community was also informed that fishing boats caught entering restricted zones will be reported to the authorities and action taken.

Legislative Council (LegCo) member, village head, villagers, representatives from the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam, Marine Police Station, Muara Police, Fire and Rescue Department, Maritime and Port Authority, Muara Port Company, Department of Fisheries and Viddacom were present.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager Salawati Kassim, Head of Logistics Support Operations (LSO) Gilles Verriere and his team, Senior Drilling and Completion Engineer Kevin Lim also participated.
