A set of commemorative stamps and first day covers (FDC), launched to mark the 100th anniversary of the Department of Electrical Services (DES) will be on sale starting today and are available at designated post offices.
Issued by the Department of Postal Services (JPP), the commemorative stamps are part of the initiative of the agency to commemorate its establishment in 1921.
The products available are FDC with commemorative stamps; FDC without stamps; individual stamps; a set of four stamps; and stamp sheet set of 24 pieces.
They were designed by the DES and the Ministry of Energy, and printed on Arconvert Gummed Stamp Paper 110gsm by Southern Colour Print. The stamps are 40 millimetres by 30 millimetres and the stamp sheets have serial numbers from 00001-25000.
The commemorative stamps are on sale from 8am to 3pm.
Customers need to make reservations by calling the post offices or through online booking.
Ordered stamp products can be collected at the Gallery Stamp at General Post Office in the capital, Mail Processing Centre (MPC) in Berakas as well as Gadong, Seri Complex, Muara, Sengkurong, Lumut, Mumong Kuala Belait, Seria, Tutong and Bangar post offices.
