Yesterday’s Friday sermon highlighted the importance of upholding Islamic values and teachings in our daily life to ensure the continuous peace and blessings experienced in the nation.
“Alhamdulillah, with Allah the Almighty’s will, and under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam that govern the nation according to Islamic values, we continue to enjoy harmony and Allah the Almighty’s protection, and will celebrate the 37th National Day this year.
“This year’s theme, ‘Accomplishing the National Vision’, is a call to all citizens to move together and work hand-in-hand in realising Brunei Vision 2035 for an educated, highly-skilled and successful society, as envisaged by His Majesty,” said Imams during the sermon.
“Therefore, we must nurture love towards the religion, ruler and people, and remain united and loyal to uphold Islam earnestly.
“Peace and prosperity is more meaningful when the nation always remembers and is grateful to Allah the Almighty. Let us join the mass Maghrib prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran with main focus at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital on February 22 evening for continuous prosperity and sovereignty we enjoy, and ask Allah the Almighty’s blessing for Baldatun Thayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghafur (Peaceful and prosperous nation that is blessed by Allah the Almighty).”
