BAIDURI Bank Group ushered in the Chinese New Year with several feats achieved in 2018.
Baiduri Bank Group financial performance (unaudited) reached great height in 2018. The group’s gross revenue climbed to BND199 million while operating profit reached BND82.33 million and the total asset remained stable at BND4.18 billion.
Baiduri Bank’s 2018 performance (unaudited) showed improvement compared to 2017, where the bank’s gross revenue increased to BND177 million and operating profit is at BND94 million.
For Baiduri Finance, the gross revenue rose to BND61 million and operating profit increased by eight per cent to BND26 million compared to 2017. Baiduri Finance remained the market leader in the automobile financing with more than 60 per cent of market share in 2018.
The Baiduri Bank Group’s financial performance was shared to guests in a video at the Chinese New Year celebration held at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall of The Empire Hotel & Country Club yesterday.
The celebration is catered to Baiduri Bank Group’s customers and business associates based in Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District. On Wednesday, Baiduri Bank Group hosted a Chinese New Year reception in KB Sentral, Belait District.
Guests were welcomed by the senior management of Baiduri Bank Group. The get together was held to strengthen ties with customers and corporate clients instrumental to the success of the group.
Throughout the celebration, guests were entertained by performances such as songs, dance, Wushu and orchestral pieces by students of Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB).
The highlight of the event was the presentation of donations for underprivileged students.
Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Pierre Imhof presented the donations.
Principal of Chung Hwa School Kiudang Loo Shee Yun, Principal of Chung Hwa Middle School BSB Kho Guik Lan, Principal of St Andrew’s School Tan Lian Lian and Principal of St George’s School Janidi Jingan received the donations on behalf of their schools.
Senior government officials, foreign dignitaries and prominent members of the local community were also among the attendees.
