Club welcomes new members

Rotary District Governor 2021-2022 of the Rotary International District 3310 Dolly Yeap, in the country on a goodwill visit, said she had witnessed a number of projects and initiatives conducted by the club to help communities in need.

Speaking at an induction ceremony of the Rotary Club of Belait (RCB) to welcome three new members, she hoped the new members will help ensure the club continues to serve the community.

The event was held at Cheng Wah Restaurant, Seria on June 11.

Before the induction ceremony, the RCB members conducted the general meeting, where details about the club’s past and ongoing projects were revealed.

The three new members are Agnes Hwong, Connie Chee, and Selency Hwong.

All three pledged their allegiance to the club’s vision and mission, led by Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA) cum International and Community Services Chair Helen Tang.

The district governor also presented tokens of appreciation to the newly inducted members.

Assistant Governor Clement Yong, Vice President cum Rotary Foundation Chair Loo Soon Nin, Secretary cum Treasurer Camille Chai, Public Image cum Vocational and Youth Service Chair Patrick Lai, Membership Chair Elina Lim and family members of the newly inducted members and friends of the Rotary Club were also present.
